AT THE COUNTER
Four things we do every day.
Colour matching.
Bring in a photo, a paint chip, a scrap of siding, an old stir stick, a pillow you can’t part with — we’ll match a colour to it. For hard-to-eye samples we use a spectrophotometer and match to a Dulux formula you can reorder any time. Great for making a wall touch-up disappear, or building a whole room around one fabric.
Tinting, in-house.
Every gallon that leaves the store is tinted here at 161 Montague. We stock the full Dulux tint set and can mix any colour in the Dulux fan decks, plus any custom colour we’ve matched for you. Most orders leave the counter ready to open within a few minutes.
Colour consultation.
Not sure where to start? Come in with a photo of the room or the house — or just the mood you’re going for — and we’ll walk you through Dulux’s colour system to narrow down a palette. It’s informal, no appointment needed. Take a fan deck home to try in your own light, and come back when you’re ready to buy.
Special order.
If Dulux makes it and it isn’t already on the shelf, we can special-order it. Most orders arrive in a few business days. Bring us the SKU or describe what you need — coastal-grade primer, low-VOC ceiling paint, exterior stain — and we’ll source it.
A NOTE ON DELIVERY
We don’t deliver.
Everything is cash-and-carry at 161 Montague Street, Monday to Saturday, 8 to 4. Call ahead with your order and we’ll have it tinted and waiting at the counter — most orders take a few minutes to fill once you’re here.
