Why we carry Dulux.
Authorized DealerIronbound Paint Company is an authorised Dulux dealer. Dulux is a Canadian paint brand, mixed in Canada by PPG/CIL — meaning the same formulas, the same finishes, and the same reorder codes wherever you find them. If we tint a colour for you today, that colour is still that colour a year from now.
We carry the full Dulux tint base range, the full set of fan decks, and can match any colour in the Dulux system. Bring in a sample and we’ll match it to a Dulux formula you can reorder any time — no proprietary lock-in, no “only-at-this-store” mystery codes.
Being the only Dulux dealer in Lunenburg County and on the South Shore means one drive to Montague Street instead of a trip to the city every time a project needs another gallon. It also means we know the products we stock; if it’s on the shelf, we’ve sold it enough to know when to recommend it and when to steer you elsewhere.

Dulux Diamond
Premium acrylic with ceramic microspheres — the top of the interior line. Best for high-touch walls, kitchens and hallways, and anywhere you need scrub-resistance without losing colour depth. Low sheen through eggshell finishes.
Dulux Weathershield
Exterior paint built for real weather — the salt air, the freeze-thaw, the fog. Long-life pigments and a flexible film that moves with the substrate. What we recommend for South Shore clapboard and heritage exteriors that need to hold up for a decade.
Dulux Lifemaster
Ultra-low VOC. Made for occupied turnovers — healthcare, schools, nurseries, short-term rentals — where you can’t clear the room. Barely smells during application, cures fast.
Dulux Ultra Hide & Xpert
Contractor-grade lines. High hide, fast recoat, forgiving on textured surfaces. What we stock heavy for painters running repaints on time and budget.
Wood-Pride Solid Stain
Solid-body stain built for decks, clapboard, docks — everything salt air touches. Recoats without stripping if you catch it before it fails.
Primers
Full range of Dulux primers — interior, exterior, stain-blocking, bonding, and masonry. Prep is the difference between a paint job that lasts and one that peels; we’ll steer you to the right primer for your substrate.

COLOUR
The Dulux colour system.
Dulux runs one of the largest colour libraries in Canadian paint. Every year they name a Colour of the Year — 2026 is Pine Forest (DLX1134-7), a deep grounded green that lands beautifully on South Shore trim and interior feature walls. We keep the Colour of the Year chip visible at the counter alongside the full palette.
Every gallon that leaves our store is tinted here on Montague. We do custom colour matching from your sample, we tint from any Dulux fan deck code, and we write down the formula so the next gallon matches the last. See our services for more on how the matching and tinting work.
